Whether you're an experienced, multi-pitch self-described rock climber, or have never climbed rock outside, Mountain Trip's experienced guides can help you progress your skills and knowledge. We offer both full and half-day trips and family-specific outings, perfect for children. Our area offers a variety of rock climbing, from various locales such as Mill Creek, Pipeline, Ophir Wall, The Dark Side. Route grades in our area run from the very moderate, suitable to beginners to 5.13. While physically challenging, rock climbing is a rewarding outdoor adventure for most everyone.

Mountaineering

Peak Ascents

Mountain Trip is permitted to guide the Wilson Group of 14,000' peaks, or "14ers" that stand tall on the skyline to the west of Telluride. These routes feature some technical sections, large elevation gain and rough, unmaintained trail but offers a very rewarding summit views and a feeling of true accomplishment in the mountains. For a longer time in the wilderness, consider overnight backpacking as an add-on to your trip. Horseback Riding

You may find some of the best views in Colorado are while riding the trail on horseback at Circle K Ranch. This method of travel provides for a peaceful, yet adventurous experience during your stay. The most popular, Rio Lado Creek, ride allows for a short ride along the Dolores River and then up the trail through old growth spruce and aspen groves over a 2 hour time frame.

Telluride Adventure Center

Golf

The Telluride Golf Club is located in scenic Mountain Village at The Peaks Resort.

New golf carts, equipped with state-of-the-art Global Positioning System (GPS), assists golfers as they navigate their way around the course, which accentuates the mountain terrain as meandering fairways wind through aspen groves, towering pines, mountain ponds and sparkling streams.  The Telluride Golf Club was constructed in 1992 and serves as a private club for members as well as a public course for locals and guests.

Telluride Historical Museum

The Telluride Historical Museum offers engaging annual exhibitions alongside the Museum’s permanent collection of artifacts from the region’s Ute heritage, robust mining history, and ski and festival history. Ten rooms, each with their own theme, showcase these different aspects of Telluride history. Hands-on, interactive, and rotating displays engage all the senses, giving visitors new experiences each visit.
